The Feb. 20 boil water notice issued by the town of Oakland has been rescinded. According to town officials, laboratory results confirmed no harmful bacteria were found in samples.

The notice was issued after an equipment malfunction at the Oakland water plant caused a temporary reduction in pressure. The reduced pressure went below the state’s minimum guidelines “for proper water production and delivery.”
