Crews are repairing water main break at TCC.

A private contractor is working with crews from Tallahassee Community College to repair a water main break Friday that left four buildings on campus without water.

Employees from Vause Mechanical Inc. are expected to have repairs completed by 5 p.m. Monday.

The sites affected are the Moore Lecture Hall, Dental Hygiene, Academic Computing Center and the Technology and Professional Programs buildings. All are on the north end of campus.

“There is no disruption of classes and we should open as expected on Tuesday morning,” TCC spokesman Al Moran said. The college is closed Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Moran said a crack was found in a 5-inch water main around 4:30 a.m. Friday.

It did not cause any damage to the interior of the buildings.
