Naples city officials closed 4th Street South from 11th Avenue South to Broad Avenue South on Monday afternoon for a repair on the city’s 16-inch reclaimed water main.

The road will be closed until the repair is finished, which officials estimate could be the end of the week.

The water main is “shut down from Central Avenue, south into the Port Royal community,” according to a press release from the city. Officials said the repair won’t affect drinking and bathing water or sanitary sewer service.

City officials urge motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians traveling in the construction area to watch for workers and equipment.

The reclaimed watermain repair will affect the area outlined in red.
