Portion of South Kentucky Avenue will close for sanitary sewer repair

LAKELAND — South Kentucky Avenue will be closed between East Main Street and East Lemon Street starting at 7 a.m. Monday so the Wastewater Collection Division of Water Utilities can make repairs on the sewer main.

The repairs are anticipated to continue until January 18, according to City of Lakeland officials. Most of the work will take place in the roadway, so adjacent sidewalks will be open for pedestrian use. The road closure will be in place on a 24-hour basis until the repair is complete. Detours will be marked around the area.
